This is my Morris, loved by me - reffered to by my lovely wife as..."The heap of rust that lurks in the garage". Some people have no taste!

Anyway I am interested to know the history of my beloved 'Peat Brown'. Can anyone tell me where in this lovely isle the number plate relates to, is it a local South Wales number...?

The car can be veiwed on the club website at http://mysite.freeserve.com/swmmoc under Peat Brown.

Any info would be much appreciated. I checked it on the RAC site and apparently it was registred in 0001 - hmmm, I think not.

Cheers
Dave

Hi,
PWN is a genuine Swansea local number and PWN registrations ran from October 1968. It was probably registered late 1968 at the Swansea local motor tax office a long long time before DVLA came on the scene!.

Your reg was first made available by Swansea County Council in 1968.

Right, enter a number that is not available into the search box (like my WSJ955) then it spits you to another page. At the bottom there is a box that says 'was it issued'. Enter the reg in question in there and it tells you the details!
