It was my brother's car when he died nearly 30 years ago. My sister ran it for 3 or 4 years then put it away in a carport.
It will be a labour of love. I am doing the work and my sister is paying for the parts. Wish me luck![frame][/frame]

When was your car registered, as Almond green was introduced in October '61. It's not too clear from the photo but does it have beige seats?

Could be Empire Green.

I'll answer that one for Beero too; it was registered July 1962!

bmcecosse - just hope we still have that reg, it was laid up before SORN came in, my sister is looking into it.

They say the camera doesn't lie. Unfortunately it is in a sad state. Stinks inside because it had rats nesting in it. They got in the hole behind the battery. And compression test was 60,60,0,60 so I am rebuilding the engine at the moment. And all the brakes are locked on. Still, I love a challenge!

can you post pics of the engine when you rebuild it and everything else as you go along

Yes, I will try! The engine is looking good with the fresh green paint. Just waiting for the rings, shells, etc to start re-assembling.

Looks brand new! The new studs and nuts really make a big difference.

The nuts and studs are not ALL new, I have a wire brush attachment for my drill!

Nice surprise today, removed the n/s outer sill and this is what I found. Hope the other side is as good![frame][/frame]
