hi all,
i am just in the process of rewiring my traveller, i have never used it, i just need to know exactly what the small lights on the dash are, the blue is main beam, no worries, is the red ignition light a charging light? and the two orange ones? what are they for i assume one is oil pressure, and is the other brake fluid warning? if anyone could tell me which one is which i would appreciate it, i don't have any manuals with this info, it has the usual smith central speedo.
cheers

They were different depending on year and colour of speedo so can you give some more info?
If it is the later black faced speedo then one of the orange ones does nothing (blocked filter warning lamp) and the others are as you say.

Correct Tom - None had a brake fluid warning light....

But also WRONG - the second Orange is for the 'oil filter blocked' - nothing to do with 'charging'.

There is a pressure switch built into the oil filter housing - its as much use as a chocolate exhaust pipe - ignore it, disconnect it, use it for something else (reversing light, fog light warning etc etc)

If your engine has a cannister filter conversion then the blocked filter wire will have been disconnected. On my Traveller I use it for the trailer indicators by connecting it to the correct terminal on the towing flasher unit.
