how long should the upper trunnion seals last?

i have had them on primrose for about 4 years and they have both come to bits. duff batch or just duff seals in general?

i would say they would last longer than that

my seals were replaced bout 15 years ago and still going strong, but at that time would have been original ones

Yours lasted that long? Mine were pretty knackered after a year. :(

Back to the quality of modern parts! You can wrap self-amalgamating tape around the area, it makes a good seal and saves dismantling the suspensions to fit new seals.

Now that's a good idea, I'll have to give it a go.
