has someone tried to nick my morris?

so the story goes! i was moving my morris the other day whilst sanding it on the road when i noticed a strong smell of petrol and the fuel pump ticking. i found that the bonnet was ajar and my fuel hose had been disconnected? the jubalee clip had been chewed up :( i live in a quite road and wondered if anyone would know why someone would do this?

Surely they would just take the pipe of the petrol tank? Or could it be a lazy criminal using the fuel pump :D

Or just put a screwdriver through the petrol tank? - that's what they were doing round our way a while back :( :o

Yeah or that! I do have a few people who dont like me, maybe they thought it was a brake pipe? Trying to clear garage today to park her in there now

Did you leave your keys in the ignition switch so that a would be thief could turn on the ignition/fuel pump and wouldn't you have heard someone pop the bonnet as presumably if you were sanding the car you weren't far away?

i always keep my keys with me although the car doesnt lock on drivers side and there is a few of my tools laying about eg screwdrivers and im usually at college in the day and not many people down here in the day :/ im mythed

In your own interest may I suggest that you change the lock on your door so it does lock - not expensive to buy another barrell for it and make sure you don't leave any tools that could be "useful" to a thief lying around. We don't want to lose any more cars do we? :D

Its the latch on the door thats broken just checked! And iv tidyed all my tools up fuel has been taken as its run out now
