Hi
I want to repaint my steering wheel ( 3 spoke - early ) cause it has some serious fading of the colour and number of scratches. Does anyone know what king of paint / lacquer should i use and what's the right way to do it?
Thank you
Yiorgos

The gold paint for the flat 3 spoke wheel, inst panel etc is supplied by Car Paints Plus, Bridgend, Glamorgan, in tins or aerosol.
However they do not dispatch it so you would have to arrange for it to be collected. Their phone no. is +44 1656 667822

If its a black one have a look at this before you decide on paint

I have a black 3 spoke which I'm going to fit to the Trav once I find a horn push which was very faded, white in places. This trick brought the colour back to black, instantly - but it wasnt smooth. I then rubbed it down with various grades of wet n dry finishing up with a normal body shop cutting compound. It now looks great. Took a lot of time and a lot of polishing
Be very careful you only need to lightly flick the wheel with the flame too much and it will overheat and bubble.
Presumably it will work with other colours but I've obviously only tried it out on a black one
