track rod ball joints

I am renewing the front suspension,new kingpins,trunnions,poly bushes etc etc and including fitting worsley brakes,when i came to splitting the ball joints, suprise suprise after undoing nut (which was tight) steering arm just came undone on it's own ! Was i lucky or does this indicate it's gone west!.
Considering the mod's i am doing should i replace them anyway ?
Suspension was baggy and clonky , but did not seem to wander,your thoughts please !

Do you mean - the track rod end taper just fell out of the steering arm ? Not a problem - perhaps a wee bit slacker than it should be - but I would just use it provided it pulls up tight on re-assembly.
