Re: gauges
Speedos are so cheap - not worth 'reconditioning' - what type do you need ? And - what's wrong with the rev counter ???

Re: gauges
Don't know of anywhere. Is it really worth fixing ? Can you open it up -and see if there is maybe a fuse inside ? I have one of these somewhere - must try and dig it out!

If you paid more than £5 for it - you were DONE! Especially now it doesn't seem to work..........

I dont mean to speak out of turn. I think that if he wanted your opinion he would have asked for it.bmcecosse wrote:If you paid more than £5 for it - you were DONE! Especially now it doesn't seem to work..........
we all know that if we want to sell one to you it has to be under a fiver, but for petes sake "just because you have an opinion doesnt mean the world wants to hear it".
There is some good trouble shooting bits above but I think taking that tone is going a bit far.
Back to the thread:
Ill be watching this thread as I bought one on Ebay recently but cant get any joy from it. ive done all the wiring bits and pieces. I was wandering if it could possibly be from a positive earth car but the case is isolated from all the internals.
(for the reccord I paid £5.50 but bought it because I like it!)[frame]
Re: gauges
Ash, looks like standard wiring colours on your counter.... Black = Earth, Red = Live, Green = Illumination, White = Trigger. Looks like it should be mounted in an isolated pod or dash mount also. Good luck....
