HI to everybody on here. I should have jioned some time ago but there you go.
I'm about 60% of the way through a rebuild of a moggi pick up. The back is a complete new build with an interesting tasteful twist. The engine has had a lot of work done to it to improve the overal performance of the A series and a different gearbox from MG is being fitted. The front cab section is painted and now having the bright work refitted. But some of the original chrome is looking very tatty next to the new black paintwork. I can get most of the parts I need but the part I am struggling to find is the hockey sticks around the chrome grille. Does anybody here know who may have some in stock ? Has anyone re-chromed this item before ? Pics will follow once it has started to look a little nearer the end.
Wryka

Welcome to the forum.
I sure hope you have plenty of pics for us, we like restoration threads

you should be able to get hockey sticks from Bull Mottif, ESM or one of the other suppliers.

Cheers for the welcome guys.
I have tried Bull Motif but they were out of stock and not sure when others were coming in.
I'll give them another call and see if anything has changed.
Bye for now

Welcome
Might be useful to add your location to your profile incase it's needed for future use.
In regards to the hockey sticks you might be better off getting some new old stock/good second hand ones as there have been reports on here of new chrome not lasting as long as the old chrome.

Hello Everyone- I am new to this Site and will be requesting help during my efforts to resurrect my Retirement project.(as below)
I am not very good with 'puters (but improving-with age)
I have already been very well helped, by two members in the very short time I have been a member (do not know all the rules yet so if I transgress ?) I name Bmcecosse and RussLCV, so feel I am off to a good start.
Never been a member of MMOC previously -although have owned the Marque before and probably only become a member , right now, due to a very nice Birthday pressy of membership by my Family.
Do not know if its just my inexperience but I am finding this Site a little difficult to navigate-perhaps some regular posters or Mods could suggest something that will ease my plight. I do want to make a decent contribution in time and effort-despite my inexperience- so as it says "all help will be gratefully received"
I have given myself 2 years to produce a car that will hopefully last another 50 years (as from 09-02-2011)
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I am eager to find anything about the past history of this car-4 Door Saloon present Reg OAS 386 first Reg'd 09-02-61 probably North Wales area, originally Yukon Grey, but presently a sort of Maroon-but intend returning it to Grey.
It has been uprated to a 1098 but still has the 4.55.1 Diff-was about to be scrapped-although in my humble and inexperienced opinion was too good for that.
I fully appreciate that all the regulars and officials on here are at times very often repeating themselves to all us Newbies, but were all keen to be shown how and why, and you all can be sure that your attention will not be misplaced-thanks everyone.
MMM
