never got round to fitting it but i want it in now still dont quiet know were the wire go on this rev counter i know its set up for 12v and neg earth,[frame]

i know the little blue one is for earth but were will the long white one go with the bullet connector on(is this orignal) and the long blue with spade connector(is this power)

What make of rev counter is it and is it set up for a 4 cylinder engine?

White will be the "trigger" so connect to coil and the blue that connects to it will be +12v

Just chop off the old connectors and fit whatever you need - It probably plugged into a vehicle harness on the original car it was fitted to, hence the bullet connections.....

An original wiring harness would never have two wires the same colour on two different terminals - and two wires of different colour on the same terminal !! However - it may work - but the white wire will be the feed to the coil, so the current (
) feed to the coil will need to be taken away. As I remember - we used to connect the white wire between coil and dizzy - in place of the wire provided in the harness.

Here Tom, found these for you. I was a little confused by the way your wiring was and I didn't think there was any need to alter the cars wiring either as suggested. It should work as I said above although the diagram suggests that your long blue should be an ignition fed supply and NOT connected to permanent live as yours is. The wires on yours are not the same colours as original but you can work out what goes where OK. Also, note the difference in wiring for pos or neg earth....
