i appear to have bent my shelf on the passenger shelf out of shape - where can i get a new one?

Do you mean the parcel shelf under the dash? If so, these are available new from most of the usual Minor parts suppliers. Make sure that you order the correct one for the year of your car as they do vary slightly.

Or just make one from hardboard or thin plywood.
