Finding a car... Brown Traveller UYL537F

I thought I'd say hello with a query! I'm new to the forum and the club, having just bought a black 1964 Traveller. But I was wondering if there was a way to trace whether a specific car is still in existence? Namely a Rose Taupe/brown Traveller, reg UYL 537 F My father who recently passed on bought the car in the sixties. We used to go on family holidays in Tommy (as it was christened) to Scotland and Devon. On one of the trips to Scotland towing a caravan the gearbox died in Glencoe. I'll never forget being towed behind a breakdown truck towing a caravan! Somewhere I'm sure I have better pictures of it, but this is the only one I have to hand, a very small me, on top of it! Apologies if this is not the best place for this question. Thank you![frame]Image[/frame]

Thank you SO much for that Rob! Possibly the quickest response to any post I've ever made on a forum. I wasn't aware private individuals could search the DVLA for this sort of information. I'm glad Tommy still exists. Brown is right. Sometimes Rose Taupe looks so close, I wasn't sure. Once again, much appreciated.

I've updated the title with the registration number. Thank you to Rob for establishing its existence. I've located some more history of my father's car via my mother, so if anyone might possibly know its whereabouts, the current owners might be interested in some of it. A tenuous hope maybe, but, there's always a chance that the current owner will see it! :) Thank you!

This is brilliant. Please can you tell us all how to find this info on DVLA website - I've had a look but can't find how to do it. Rog.

You just follow the DVLA website. The first (locked) thread of the 'Do you know' section - tells you how!

I've just found it myself. You go here and click 'Vehicle Details Enquiry' halfway down the page, then 'Vehicle Enquiry' on the left:

You could always go to the national rally the end of June and have a look to see if the car is there?
