pics on the post signature...?

I'm busy trying to add a pic of my beloved Gladys to my signature by uploading a pic direct from the computer to this site but it doesn't seems to be working... am I missing something or is it better to use a link from facebook / photobucket?

Try reducing the size, if you haven't already,give it a little while then try the preview button.

Still no joy, I just keep getting a lot of error messages at the top of the screen

I didn't need to resize, I think the forum does this for you with regards to signatures.
follow these steps:
1. click user "control panel" (top left)
2. click the "profile" tab
3. click "edit signature"
4. where it says "upload picture" click the "browse button" and browse to the photo on your PC.
5. click Preview to check its there, add any desired text and click submit

Nope, tried that and it's still not working.... hope I'm not about to get barred from the forum for breaking it!
Keep getting error messages at the top of the screen:

I have noticed similar messages over the last day when posting yet my posts still went, looks like you experienced similar and your pic is now in youro siggy.
