What does this knob do?

Does anyone know what this knob does?
Sorry it's a little out of focus. It is circled in red[frame]

Hi Rob, its the water control for the heater, opens and closes a valve on the top rear of the cly head

It looks like your heater knob. you pull it out for heat.
Another little switch i found out by accident is if you run your fingers under the pannel/dash directly under the speedo you should find a small square switch. I found out that when your lights are on, your light behind the speedo is on but this switch will allow you to turn it off.
They must have been very cleaver b****ers at those Morris Factorys.

I also love my hidden full beam/dip beam switch. Now THAT was a surprise.
Not sure if it's standard?

Yes, it is. Tends to confuse younger MOT testers (as does the pull-to-start knob, the non-existent hazard and rear fog lights, and the flashing brake light indicators)...
