I'm looking for input as to which 1275 unit is the best to go for and why?
As far as i'm aware there is a choice of 3, these being the Midget A-series, the Marina A-series and the Ital A+ series engines.
From experience which would you say is the best and why please?

Nothing much between them! Power wise - they can all deliver the same.

Yes, absolutely true. The Midget is probably easier to fit as the backplate, flywheel and clutch will accept the 1098 box without difficulty, whereas the Marina/Ital flywheel/clutch is only suited for the Marina/Ital box. I don't like the idea of re-drilling a 1098 flywheel to fit the Marina/Ital crank without a location register, thus relying only on the fixing bolts for location - basically horrible engineering!
Finally, the upside down oil filter on the Marina/Ital block is very messy when changing the filter.

Yes - I forgot about the flywheel mods - in that sense - the Spridget engine is better if you can find one! Of course - I have one - but it's fitted with a (brand new) Ital crank!
