i thought rather then sell the seats togeater i would stip them

when taken the back cover off the drivers side i found

a penny from 1963
and 37p of my own
a towel and blanket

passanger side i found

a screw driver
an alan key
a 1975 new penny

woundering if anyone else has found something like this

I found a Welsh parking fine for £70 (not mine) . Also when I took out the back seat there was a new full can of coke from the 90's (I always wondered what that rattle was).

I found a nice 'minor 1000' side bonnet badge, under the back seats of mine

a brand new towing bar and a jimi hendrix tape

I found 40 p in Igor while I was stripping him. the scary bit is that 2p of it was parts of the welding holding the passenger side spring hanger on!!!

Other than a spare axle shaft in the boot, a spare trafficator lens in the parcel tray. I've owned the car for over 25 years and found these only this year!


I was given a 1985 Saab Turbo, years ago, that was stored for 4 years inside a garage. I found an open carton of milk in the map pocket. There were some kind of bugs around it, all dead. The car smelled so bad I gave it to my BIL. He LOVED the car!

Also found a mileage expenses form for Grafham water in Cambridge/Peterborough area

all primrose gave me was 2 shillings, a power shower plumed into the heating and a rabbit nest in the engine bay
