Brake light switches

Are we through the period of short lived brake light switches now?
Suggestions for where to get a good quality one gratefully received, by PM if necessary.

I fitted a new one from ESM a couple of weeks ago - and it still works ok!
I would say it works better than the original, not because that packed up! but the pressure to operate the lights is a lot lighter so before the actual brakes come on - the brake lights are on, safer I feel?

i fitted an esm one about a year ago.. still going strong, i know this is nothing to shout about it should last me more than a year, but given your post..

Thanks guys, the bad ones certainly weren't lasting as long as a year.

I dissected several short lived ones and found badly burnt contacts. Probably due to insufficient clearance when opening. Fitted a relay in the circuit to lower the switch current from 3 A to a few hundred milliamps. Seems OK now.
