This car is also advertised on the Classic car web site where it is described as being the
14th
oldest so maybe just a typo?

The advert on Ebay implies it is the 14th oldest 'known' to the club, not the 14th made. I estimate it was made the first half of '49 so still pretty early.

Mine is the 30th oldest known at chassis number 3048 and that was made end Feb 49 if that helps?

I would be very wary of quotes such as XX oldest car as it depends on how many earlier cars actually exist or are laid up awaiting restoration. I can take a reasonable guess as to how many are actually on the road from DVLA records, a check which I have carried out and list on my copy of the register. The vendor has asked me for some information which I am helping him with.

The Ebay listing has now ended. Not one bid! Is that a sign of the financial times?

Yes, could be the ideal time to bag a bargain lowlight!
I'd be tempted if the price is considerably below the grand, especially as the car has no MOT, needs welding, so it is really a project car.
