Ive been looking to buy a Minor convertible the one im curently looking at does not have over riders on either bumper, could someone tell me if all Minors should have over riders? ive search for plenty of images and notices many do not, id like to try to get the car to as original spec as possible so if anyone can answer please let me know :)

4 door Series MMs (one piece bumpers) had overiders, 2 door MMs did not, except maybe export cars.
Since overiders were one of the few things to distinguish a standard from delux It is difficult to know whether to fit them or not.
What was the difference in spec between a standard and delux?
Duotone seats?

depends on the year if it had duo tone or not. (1961 was the change to duo tone)

yes but like you said after 1964 it would not have had the option. it would have the standard heat formed seats and the door cards would have the heat formed designed if it were de lux. i think that makes sense?

I understand the overriders were put there to compensate for the difference in bumper heights between different cars on the road at the time. Years ago I came to the conclusion car looks better without them and I took mine off (along with the ugly "long-range driving lamp" on the front bumper). I've been toying with the idea of putting them back on again recently thinking that I shouldn't rid my car of its originality without good reason.

I think I remember reading recently that 'deluxe' cars have leather front seats, a heater, passenger side sun visor and front overriders.
