valve stem seals

I am going to be replacing the valve stem seals on my 948 soon. Can anyone tell me the size they are for the cap or bucket type seal (they are called umbrella seals here). I would like to get them ahead of time so if any one has the diameter of the valve stem that would be helpful as auto part stores around here do not have listings for this seal, they need a size.
Thanks.

Cloud,
Has been discussed on here recently with some excellent photos to explain it all.

I've just been out and measured a spare 1098 (12G202) head. I think the 948 head must be the same because ESM sell the same guides for both engines. The valve stem is 0.280" and the outer dia of the valve guide is 0.470".

Hi,
I'm new here and I need your help to fix my Morris Minor. I'm not from UK, sorry for my english.
I have a 1098 (12G202) head and I want to replace the valve stem seals. I bought a full engine rebuild gasket kit from ESM including valve stem seals, but they don't fit, they have smaller diameter. I used lubricant but after a stronger try they cut...
The diameter of the valve for the seal is 0.215".
Do you know where can I find the right valve stem seals? Any help?
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Just use little O rings, because that's all they are - nothing special! But the ones in the kit should have fitted - they just slide over with a bit of oil.
