HS4 Carb

Post by winger300 »

Couple of questions about this carb...

The float chamber is on the other side from my HS2. Is this going to cause any problems with the float being closer to the exhaust?

Trying to locate the vacuum advance outlet... there is a small outlet on the throttle butterfly side, directly above the butterfly. Another larger outlet is on the side, which opens out behind the butterfly.

What are they for?

Hello Winger,
it doesn't matter if the float is the other side, surely it's no closer as the manifold is symetrical?
The small outlet is the vacuum connection and the larger one for a crankcase breather. (angled stub about 1\2" O\D?)
