Split steering gaitor.

Well the old girl has done it again. Yet another job to add to the list.
Just wondering if it is an easy or lengthy job replacing it as I'll be doing it myself.

For the extra work involved -I would take the TRE off - it's only an extra 2 minutes. Some of these replacement gaitors have been 'mentioned' as only having a short life........ As ever - if you can find a new-old-stock one, it's likely to be longer lasting! And just use good tie-wraps to secure it - no need for tricky metal bands. But do snip the ends of the tie wraps off neatly!

Getting it onto the steering rack is a great laugh! Loads of washing up liquid to help it slip onto the steering rack and out of your hands at the same time....

The ones that Declan saw on eBay are good. I think they're better quality, or at least more flexible, than a set I bought from a Minor retailer. I ended up fitting the ebay ones in the end and slid them over the track rod end without too much trouble.
