Just a quick one.
I'm cutting out a small bit of grot at the bottom of the doors where water was trapped by a rubber seal mount. Is this area the same on later cars? It is a flat piece of steel with an almost 90 degree edge that folds under the bottom lip of the door skin. The panel on mine is made with only the one single fold, not several folds as shown in this other picture, plus it has a narrow C-shaped channel on it to hold a rubber seal strip.

Later repair panels from ESM show a different shaped panel, or is this pic showing 2 pieces welded together?

Re: Lowlight MM door bottoms?
ESM'S repair panel is two seperate parts spot welded together, it replaces the door bottom and the inner lower door frame upto the line where the interior door card fits to,
They can be separated quite easily by removing the spot welds and you can then just use the section that you need.

Re: Lowlight MM door bottoms?
Thanks for that. I might get away with a few small patch repairs rather than cutting the whole panel out.
Fingers crossed!
