i am thinking about fitting an alarm as some little ******** keep trying to break in every car in our area,,( we got them on cctv 5 TIMES !!!! but police dont know them) so is it hard to wire one in

seems rather overkill, all those features will make the fitting pretty complicated. it might be as easy to look for an imobiliser with shock detection as that way there would only be power and a couple of wires for the immobiliser (can go in the coil power from the ign switch) you could get one with door sensors too but the minor doors operate so clunkily that that would probably get the shock detection.

Hopefully you have fitted a secret fuel pump switch........? Alarm will be waste of money etc - can only suggest make sure there is NOTHING on view that will attract his interest for stealing - put alarm stickers in the windows - and perhaps wire a very loud horn into the ignition circuit - with a secret switch obviously - with the horn INSIDE the car and in a difficult to get to place, so the noise is absolutely deafening inside the car. That should discourage them........
