whizzing sound
there is a whirring/whizzing sound coming from the front passenger side of primrose. could it possibly be the be the bearing? is so, how does one check this without dismantling the whole hub just to find out it isn't
Re: whizzing sound
Jack up front nearside so wheel is clear of ground. Put an axle stand under the chassis so the worst doesn't happen! Grab top and bottom of wheel and try rocking it. If it moves, the bearing needs replacement. Either way, spin the wheel and see if you can detect said whizzing noise! If there is play in the bearing it will often make the shoes rub slightly on the drum, particularly on cornering. This can produce that sort of noise.
