The v5c says Millie was first registered in May 70, but the number plate is a '65. I think it may have been personalised.

is there any way of finding out what her original number plate was?

You can fill out a form (V888 I think) and send it to the DVLA with a cheque for £5.00 and they will send you all the cars registration and ownership details.

Does the chassis number on the car tie in with the V5c ok ?
