Well having run an alternator on the car for a long time, I have now worn out the brushes, no problem I thought, but can I find some? No! not for love or money.

Anyone know where I can brushes for a lucas ACR series alternator. Bring back my dynamo!

thanks

Hugh the local suppliers used to be Russell Electrics they have not dissapeared but have been taken over by Bennetts who have a branch in Hemel and a branch somewhere on the industrial estate in Watford where you got the paintwork on your wings/ valences done, if you cant find them let me know and I will locate them.

Thanks Kevin, I'll check them out this weekend. I have rung around loads of places, everywhere wants to sell you a new alternator.
