Insurance is based on so many variables that the only way to find out what your particular premium would be is to ask the insurance companies so best to get a few quotes.

yep will do. i just dont want them ringing up every few minutes in the day
i got a quote from footman james for a moggy and it was £950
where as these compare websites were from £2400 (big difference)
it wont let me do a online quote on the footman james website

You can normally get an on-line quote from FJ but I guess Andrew's age might be the reason why he has to contact them directly.

Have you tried the MG Owners Club -
http://www.mgownersclub.co.uk/ or Peter Best -
http://www.peterbestinsurance.co.uk/ (These are the insurers for MG Car Club members -
http://www.mgcc.co.uk/)?
Adrian S Flux used to offer policies for younger drivers but its a long time since I've been one!!!
