iv got a little ferm no gas welder iv had for a year or 2 and basically i was welding the inner wings on my morris and it suddenly just stopped! i cant get and earth of it but the wire feed stil shoots out like normal. iv tried the old trick of using a jump lead as the earth, so whats everyones thoughts?? cheers

Thermal cut-out operated? Fuse blown?

i shall check tomorrow! if the fuse was blown it wouldnt turn on at all would it?

Either your earth cable has come undone or there is a problem in the swan neck. The current wire may have come adrift.
Unscrew the swan neck and have a look for broken/loose wires.
Also, unscrew the nozzle and clean out all the crud.
