'52 MM U-joints

Post by MMaurice52 »

With the propeller shaft removed to replace the pinion seal on my MM, I noticed the rear U-joint is slightly stiff. Are the u-joints for newer Minors the same as my MM's? I have not found a listing from the usual suppliers.

I am fairly certain that the prop shaft u/js are the same as M1000. If you take the old one to your local bearing supplier they will be able to match it. I may have a part no. on a box in the garage which I can dig out if you need it.

ALL Minors from 1949-72 used the same joints.

Thanks for the responses. I called my local supplier, I'll have two tomorrow! $8.12 each.
