Digital Freesat TV

Just bought a spare Grundig satellite tv box - when plugged in to my dish it gives a few programs, but not that many. Does anyone have any tips/advice how to chase up a few more programs? There is a slot in the front for an 'interactive card' - anyone know what this is - what it does - where to get one ? There are also some sites on ebay hinting at selling 'the secret' of how to get more channels - 'just using the buttons on the remote' - does anyone know/willing to share this 'secret' ?? The box is hopefully for use in my daughter's flat -which is wired for Freeview and for satellite TV - but the Freeview reception is sporadic and unreliable, so I was hoping to get her on to satellite - but without paying a Sky subscription of course!

This may help http://www.frequencycast.co.uk/freesat.html
As far as I am led to understand a standard sky receiver is no good for freesat reception.

I will bell one of my mates in the trade tommorow just to confirm the position as freesat only became available after I came out the TV repair trade.

Hope that helps

Yes - I have used that link already, and the Sky box does get these programmes - without any card installed. Good deal for £7!! Our favourite of course is 110, and we are never away from checking 203!! I just wondered if an 'interactive card' would boost the channels any more - can't live without 'Dave'......... But I believe it's possible to tune into other satellites - does anyone know if this can be done with the 'remote' by changing any of the set-up parameters ?
