hi, my speedo stopped working a few months or so ago and i've decided to fix it. it went wrong before and i fixed it by taking the drive out of the gearbox. i then saw that the plastic drive had come loose. but then it came off again. i wanted to know if i should buy a whole new drive and plastic thing (that screws into the gearbox-housing and holds the speedo cable). is this a common problem or not? and should i get someone else to do it, cos last time i did i made a big mess when the oil came running out all over the garage floor. horrible stuff and impossible to fill up again.
thanks very much. maurice the traveller

Get hold of the small (1 litre) oil containers with a long spout, so you can fill the box 'quite easily' through the filler hole in the passenger floor.

Where abouts does the cable go into the box, seen as i think i have no cable.
