windsreen rubber

Hi I have had my 1955 two door splitscreen stripped and painted and now the people who have done it are saying they cant get the rubber of the front screen back in with out it leaking it is the right rubber is there a certain way of fiiting it if you can help me out please contact me at philipweaver871 at yahoo dot co dot uk or phone me on zero1885 48835two or zero792962059zero can you help me.

I bought new glass for my split scren, but it was metric thickness and I could not get it to fit properly. The seams of the rubber were sticking out rather than flat. A great tip to get the rubber in really fast is to use silicon spray from Halfords. Get that on it, and the screen drops straight in. Then fill the gap around the screen and rubber on the outside with non setting windscreen sealant. Im going to make a youtube video of how to do it later this year because it seems a lot o people have a problem itting split screen and also making them leak proof !!
