silly axle question,

Hi, this may be a bit of a stupid question but how do you tell what ratio a diff is??? is it printed on the diff?

yes it is given the ratio
there will be 2 sets of numbers , then divide the numbers to give the ratio

On an A Series diff it is stamped on the rim of the crown wheel
On a Series MM / early Series 11 it is stamped on the left axle tube
