Bit to far for most of you but, The Northern Ireland Club will have its first run out of the year on Easter Monday quite possibly in the snow     I will take some pictures and report back no matter what the weathers like. The event is fully booked, entry details here http://www.aovc.co.uk/EntryForms/MMOCEa ... dayRun.pdf

Well Wheels day would have been a super event if the rain had held off a bit :( .
Not long after we arrived the rain started and must have gone on for at least a couple of hours.
There were loads of interesting cars of all sorts including 6 Minors.
This was the most modified looking;[frame]Image[/frame]
It was in a car park away from the central arena which was almost full of cars at one stage.
It was noticeable that even after a lot of people had given up and left there were still 3 Minors in the arena and lo! the rain stopped and the sun came out.
Too late unfortunately.

I'll post up a few more pictures when I get a chance so you can get an idea of the venue and the number of interesting cars present.

I took her out ................................. OF THE COUNTRY.

Took her to Calais for dinner.

Went on a classic vehicle road run yesterday starting from East Kirkby, Lincs. Got stuck in some mud but was pushed out by 4 men dressed as american GI's :D

For the plane fans on here, here's a pic of the Lancaster bomber that came out of it's hangar for the event (along with some minis that also turned up)[frame]Image[/frame]

Can anyone guess what make this pickup is?[frame]Image[/frame]

Here you go, the effects of a few hours of rain taken from outside the arena looking inwards;[frame]Image[/frame]

This one taken from the inside, looking out a few hours later after it had stopped raining;[frame]Image[/frame]
Spot the difference :(

It certainly sends the visitors away, doesn't it... I feel sorry for organisers. I've done something similar. All the hard work to get an event up and running, praying the rain and flooded fields and marquees will dry out enough before traders and public arrive!

We had a great day out on Easter Monday, 47 cars about 25 of them minors and 104 people took part in our day out. We started off at Blackwater Marina in Antrim were had had great cooked breakfasts, then travelled 22 miles to The Ecos Centre in Ballymena were everyone had plenty of time for a walk round the centre, picnic lunch and/or time to chat to other owners. I ended up doing a few running repairs on Martins car that hadnt been out since October last year!![frame]Image[/frame]A welcome site at Antrim!![frame]Image[/frame]Lunch stop at the Ecos Centre[frame]Image[/frame]
About 3pm we moved off again heading through the Co. Antrim countryside and into Co Londonderry through the Sperrins and into Draperstowns were had had evening meal at the Rural College. No breakdowns all day, wot a result :D We had a great meal!!! Everyone got a finishers award for taking part, the Ladies had an Easter Bonnet competition and we finished off with a raffle.

Many thanks to Lillian and Bert for organising the day out![frame]Image[/frame]en route to Draperstown.
