I received details of this rally at the Branch Liaison meeting today and said I'd post up details here:
The North East Branch Rally is being held at Weardale Railway - Stanhope Station. http://www.weardale-railway.org.uk/infostan.htm
It has a wild west theme.
Camping is available from 2pm Friday 13th August through to Monday 16th August. The camp site is in a field behind the station.
Lots of activities including duck races (no good asking me as I don't know what this involves
), kids stuff, Saturday night barbeque (prize for best dressed cowboy, cowgirl or indian) and the rally on Sunday.
Fees:
£5 per car and passenger (pre-booked)
£2 per additional passenger
£6 entry on the day
£4 per night camping
£4 per person barbeque ticket
£12 family barbeque ticket (2 adults & 2 children under 11)
All rally attendees are entitled to a 'buy one get one free' rail ticket for a trip on the Weardale railway (£8 per adult)
Cars must be on site by 10.15am on Sunday and judging will take place at 11.00am sharp. Awards will be presented at 3pm.
