hood cleaning

i had my saloon converted about six years ago, and the clean, pristine interior has now become marked, grubby and a bit greasy in places. I want to give it a good clean, and just wondered whether there was any commercial type cleaning agent that anyone could recommend, or whether other members have found that good old soap and water is best for the job. i don't want to make it even grubbier by using the wrong stuff.

Do a google search for a company called "Renovo". It's what the pro valet companys use....

i did, and it looks good for cleaning the outside, bird droppings, sap, and other stuff. i'm looking for a cleaner for the inside of the hood though. maybe just a damp cloth and some cif, or other all purpose type cleaner would do it.

i have not yet cleaned the inside of my hood but when i do, i will use "vanish" bar / spray.. it worked really well on the outside of the hood

if you have an everflex hood you can use degreaser(pre paint wipe) on it. Mohair/duck hoods tend to come up with HOT soapy water.

cheers

I found Autoglym's hood cleaner excellent!
