Can anyone tell me (this site has not failed me yet) what the car No. on the firewall indicates. Mine is hard to make out but looks like FCU 41/ 524759 does it indicate year or the fact that it is a traveler???
Thanks for your help

"FLU41" would be correct for a dark green north american export traveller - the numbers are the unique chassis identifier.

F = Morris Minor
C = Convertible
U =Dark Green
4 = North American Market
1 = Synthetic Paint
/524759 = production number starting at 501, anything below 501 was a prototype or experimental dept vehicle.
This system was used from mid 1952 until mid 1958
For complete list go to http://seriesmm.mmoc.org.uk car identification, chassis number identification.
