Hi Chaps,

Can anyone tell me if the HIF 38/44 carburretor needs to have a locking choke cable?

Yes - it will pull back if the cable doesn't hold it ON!

The picture just shows the various pipe connections, and the idle mixture adjustmet - the 'choke' * is on the other side.

* Of course - it's not really a 'choke' - it's a mixture enrichment device!
