yo, can anyone tell me if im rite in thinking threres 2 nuts only holding this trim on [ one on each end] its all i could see to spray with wd40,need to get it off to rub down front panel ,cheers boys & girls,steve

Hello Mr. R,
if you are refering to the chrome strip at the top of the front valance, I'll bet there are more than two, most of it is hidden by the radiator.

I replaced mine some years ago and cannot remember the
exact number but it is definitely more than two!!

From memory i think theers abouyt 6 or 7. Most of mine were nylon nuts but ive a feeling this isnt standard.

ello edd i found 2 steel ones, rusty as usual,cheers mate,this is beggining to snowball ,ireplaced valance with fibreglass and secondhand bumper,while they were off noticed scabby front panel, oh well ,the joys of owning a classic,steve

Steve it cant be replaced without removing the rad so there are definatly more than 2. Its probably easiest to take the whole front panel of with the rad still on it.

thanks lads,i think it sounds like a masking tape job, i only want to rub down front panel ,check out website, thanks again boys ,looking forward to seeing some of u in brighton on april 4, steve

Yes about 6 wee steel nuts with shake proof washers right the way across - this holds the apron to the radiator holding brackett so it has to have a few to keep it al together. Two hoses and four bolts (and a puddle on the floor) and the radiator is out. Also it is easier with the bonnet pull mech removed.
