Help I'm going stir crazy!

The weather is beginning to warm up at last but I'm going stir crazy at home. All my hobbies involve being outdoors for the most part (cars, making guitars, gardening) and I've been stuck inside for too long now. There are only so many re-runs I can watch on TV and although I enjoy reading, I need something else to do. I'm not very good at sitting still, I like to keep busy. So I need an indoor hobby.

Any interesting suggestions? What do you do to keep yourself busy?

Calligraphy.

I've been a calligrapher since I was fifteen, and if I am overburdened with work issues, family issues, or the cares of the world, a morning or afternoon or evening - or even a whole day - at the drafting table, even if it's only lining up paper, making quills, or practising alphabets, just takes me away, relaxes me, or challenges me, all at once.

And at the end of it, I have a really nice present for someone, or a need to find another wall to hang something on!

Something like this:

Play one of the guitars you have made! That is a great indoor hobby.

You could always come over and walk the dog/do the ironing/change the beds/tidy the rooms and strip/ re-decorate a uni student's room ( no actually I wouldn't wish that on anyone :o !)

I haven't enough hours in the day

Take up woodturning and watch as a beautiful object appears from out of a lump of wood once you have mastered the tools it is relaxing too. Our club tent at a local show in 2009 with items turned by me[frame]Image[/frame]

I bought a cheap sewing machine off ebay and I have been re-trimming the rear seats of my convertible and am now beginning to practice with sewing vinyl so that I can re-trim my traveller.

Calligraphy - nice work! Woodturning I have thought about before but that still involves being outside in the workshop and it is too damn cold which is why I'm not out there building guitars. I make acoustics and working the wood is really relaxing but not when I'm freezing my nethers off.

I've tried water colour painting but I just don't have the talent.

I'm thinking of breaking out the old home studio recording gear and doing some more recording. Trouble is my singing voice is worse than Bob Dylan's.

Dont think stuart is likely to have an indoor airport.

What about setting up your own Guitar website along with your tribute vocals to Bob Dylan, then all you need is a Joan Baez singer.

I had one of those. I took it down a little while ago to have a break. The backup files are still accessible here:
