halogen headlight conversion

hey, im looking at doing this as i will be doing a fair amount of driving at night
has anyone used these?

it mentions no pilot light, what on earth is this? a dipped beam? can someone help me out? also what is the delivery time for esm?

I did this using the Bull Motif kit below

and it was dead easy to do. They are properly bright now, but I must confess I don't really like the flatter profile of the lights - they look sort of modern somehow. Much better at night though.

Check the make of light. The best ones for the price are Wipac Quadoptics. They have a good beam pattern and plastic bowls so do not rust. The price seems quite cheap, I would expect nearer £30 so check that the price includes the halogen bulbs.
Warning. Do not touch the bulb glass when fitting.
Pilot lights are side lights inside the headlight lens - used on Minis
A well worthwhile improvement to the car lighting

use to buy loads in the 60`s and 70`s

AUs headlamps were duly inspected today at Brooklands and................ Lucas sealed beam halogen units are confirmed as present and correct!!

Not in Uk though but shows there still obtainable. They may of course dip the wrong way!!! AUs have been in use since the late 70s!! so a good investment.
