Marina Pedal Box Question

I have read Biker Lofty's great description of the fitting of a Marina Pedalbox to a Minor. Having removed the clutch pedal and reshaped that, I now want to remove the brake pedal to do the same but the spindle which holds the pedals on won't budge so that I can remove the brake pedal and fit it into my vice. Is it just a case of knocking it out or is there something else I need to do first?

The nut on the right is undone and removed yes? Just a gentle tap with a plastic hammer or hammer over a bit of wood to protect the threaded bit should do it.

Thanks, tried this but not hard enough probably. Left it to soak with WD40 so will try again. Cheers!

does the brake and clutch pedal swivel independently to the spindle? Just wondering if they've seized. I had my pedals apart a few months ago and they came apart quite easily. You could also try removing the split pin and washer on the left and tapping it the other way to see if that loosens something off.

Brake and clutch swivel independently, I think the the spindle is a bit seized that's all, WD40 still soaking, no time to look yet!
