I want to paint the slats of the grille on my pickup - how do I remove it, does the whole front section have to come off?

Assuming it is the same as the saloon and traveller, you can remove the radiator, and possibly cowl panel it mounts to and the four phillips screws holding the grille to the front panel will be visible.
Having said that, I've only removed the grille with the whole front panel/ rad and cowl removed as one unit and stripped the whole lot completely down. It should be possible in-situ, but more awkward with front panel in place.....
Good luck!

The whole front panel has to come off the enable the rad support to be spilt from the grille panel. Only then can you get at the screws holding the grille in.

You can rub it down and then put a piece of cardboard behind the grill to protect the radiator and mask off the rest and spray it as well.

Have primed and then hand-painted the first coat using Hammerite Smooth - in black - all of a sudden he looks like a different (and slightly cross) car..
