Feb is in the summer on your side of the globe, so that does seem cold for Australia. We could do with that kind of "cold" in the UK at the moment!

Do you have to use winter tyres when it gets that cold?

Do you ever have to use the choke?
(I expect someone in your government will no doubt blame the "cold " temperatures on "global warming"!)

We have two seasons in the UK, the wet one and the even wetter one. During the wet one of 1980 (ie July - August), a school friend went to stay with relatives in Australia during the school holiday ( I think he stayed in Sydney). He had better weather during the Australian Winter than we had in the UK during July/August
