Does anyone know if stoplocks, those ones with the yellow lock and grey handle, will fit a minor steering wheel ...and yes, I know if someone wanted to they could probably break it off in 30seconds.

Hi there - I have one fitted to my '64 4 door. I know it's not going to stop a serious crook but it's a visual deterrent at least.

theives will just break in and smash the steering wheel if they can not get it off
i know a mate had one on a fiesta, theives brole in and just smashed the steering wheel and facia in the process and then just left the car

well that is true but not at the expense of wrecking the interior
and steering wheels are not that easy to come by

I went for a Disc-Lok in the end, unfortunately they are very expensive (you have to buy a medium one which is £25 more than the standard size at £100) - however I took the view that I have spent far more on the car than I would ever get back in insurance so if it stops it being nicked it was worth investment.
Cheers,
Paul.

I also use a disklok - it's a cinch to fit, taking about 10 seconds and it fits nicely behind the passenger seat (in a pickup). You do have to buy the bigger one though.
I guess I won't know if it will work until someone tries to nick the car, but it is a very visible deterrent.
It was quite a lot of money compared to the other options, but spend just a few minutes thinking how you'd feel if you returned to the car park and your mog wasn't there and it doesn't seem so much.

So they do fit then, I just thought with the Minor wheel being thinner and of a large size than most modern cars it might not fit.
I certainly can't afford a disclok at the moment but I'll keep them in mind.
