You can apply to Heritage to get all the details of your car as it left the factory - there is a charge - although I understand if you turn up you can do the research yourself. http://www.bmh-ltd.com/minor.htm You can get all the previous on your car from DVLA - again at a charge of course!

To research info on your car from Gaydon you will need the chassis number. Registration number is no good as it was issued after the car left the factory

Ahhh - I think I have linked to the wrong 'Heritage' - as MP points out - it is the place at Gaydon that can supply the factory details. http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/

My 1937 MG SA is registered AMO 603, and was first registered in Berkshire to the MG Car Company in a small block of allocated numbers, but similar numbers appear to have been used on non-factory cars. My car was used on some official publicity photos at the time, which is rather nice. Abingdon was, until 1972, in Berkshire.

The Kithead Trust hold a couple of a million registration records, but mainly for pre-war cars.

Not a lot of help, I know, but I wouldn't get too excited as there would have been, ooh, let's see, anything up to 999 xxx AMO registrations, and it seems unlikely they'd all have been allocated to MG.

Just click in the box directly below your "reply" box where it says "upload picture" then browse for your pic and click on submit. Depending on the size of your pic you may have to wait a while whilst it loads and resizes..... We LOVE pics so get posting
