MM Water Pumps from Australia

Post by spike_esq »

I have been having great difficulty in sourcing a water pump for my SV engine. The search has taken me to Australia and we have found a company willing and able to manufacture "copies" in batches of TEN. For me this would be a considerable outlay so before confirming the order I need to gauge the response of the membership.

WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PURCHASE A NEW WATER PUMP??

Please PM with your expression of interest to purchase a water pump. The cost is likely to be in the region of AUD400. The pump would be cast iron with 5/8" shaft, sealed bearings and pulley. We are in negotiation to maybe omit the pulley as these are available in UK. Your thoughts would be welcome. If you need further information please post a reply and I will try to get answers.

Many thanks... ...Harry

AUD400 each, does that include the shipping to the UK and duty?....seems a lot of money to me...I doubt if you will get much interest at that price...as the market is just not there.....have you tried finding a maker in the UK?....or perhaps looking at adapting another pump to fit...

Spike,

Is there a way that a larger quantity can be arranged through the needs of owners in the UK and US for a better price break? I'm sure owners here (N.America) might add a few on that list if you or someone here can advertise it. As it stands the price for us would be $356.00 a copy. If you can check to see if that includes shipping as well that would be great.

Spike, thanks for checking into this parts dilemma for us.
