Encounter At McD's

Popped to McDonalds this afternoon on the way home for a bite to eat. I was sat there muching away on a big Mac when a member of staff came over and asked "is that your Morris Minor in the car park?", apparently she had recognised me from the feature on my old car (Tim) in Minor Matters.
We had a chat about my car and my previous car, it turned out that her next door neighbour used to own Tim. Turns out she has just bought herself a 1960 Minor and its currently in bath having a new wing fitter. I told her about this site and she said when she got home tonight she'd take a look
When you join let us know who you are and post some pics of your car! Was nice to meet you

Only been in to McD twice, once to spend a penny and on the other occasion, it was the only place open and I was hungry. I must say that the one thing I ate might have had more taste if I'd left it in the wrapper. Somehow burgers taste better out of vans

Oh, I agree with that! A good burger van burger will hit the spot 10 times better than a McD's one....

Bwahaha! I currently live no more than twenty miles from one of the first McDonald's restaurants! Back then they were closer to real
restaurants than whatever it is they are today...the hamburgers are all right over here, but I don't know what they do in Britain. I loathe Big Macs because of the thousand-island dressing, but a normal quarter-pounder with cheese hits the spot on occasion.
I'd love to have this sort of encounter! Wow! But it's much less likely in the States, I s'pose, and especially as I've never been featured in Minor Matters. Maybe someday?
I hope she appears soon! I've been checking this post consistently since the 15th and still nothing...

We managed to remain McDonalds free until 1994. 3 nights before the first McDonalds store was due to open, the local Hungry Jacks (the Australian version of Burger King) mysteriously blew up. Apparently the gas was 'left' on and a bug flying into the bug-zapper caused a spark and sent the whole place sky high at about 3 in the morning. Every dog in a 10 mile radius went berserk. I dropped my brother at school the same morning and of course we took a detour past the place, the road was littered with playground equipment, glass and all of the out doors tables and chairs. Everything had a fine coat of yellow dust from the roof insulation that seemed to have completely disintegrated (along with the roof) and then 'snowed' down all over the place. Apparently a very large footprint was found at the scene and a smudge of white face paint was located on the door handle.
