Morris Minor Owners Club

Bit of a long shot but I will ask, when I found and purchased my minor 1000 which my dad had sold 19 years earlier it was complete except for front wings, front bumper, carpet and front seats but most important item missing was the engine. I now have a good engine and box in the car running which came out of a 1966 car I broke for spares and also 2 more spare engines and gearboxes but I would love to have had the origional lump in my possesion. Story goes that a chap who owned the car in the late 80s/early 90s had took the origional engine out to fit a much lower milage unit he had aquired, he then sold the car on with loads of spares to the chaps I eventually bought the car off. A lot of spares were apparentley scrapped due to a lack of space, but some where sold on from a unit in hilton. My car and the spares and another minor had been purchased to be donors to another car, one was broke but mine was concidered to good to break so was put in a lock up until the day I came across it. I know engines were swopped and reconditioned on a regular basis back in those days so theres nothing to say that by the time my grandad had it in 1974 that it still had its origional engine. Anyway origional engine number was 339352 and it would have been a 1098cc. If anyone has this engine in a car or in storage please let me know
